Mrs. Hegger is the Owner/Principal of Quiet Waters Montessori Academy. A graduate from Toronto Montessori Institute, Mrs. Hegger holds a degree in Toddler, Casa and Elementary Programs. Also, holding a degree from York University in Child Psychology, she is dedicated to ensuring that your child receives the highest quality of education while in her care. A married mother of two, Mrs. Hegger has used her over 18 years teaching experience to build a school which allows your child to reach their potential!
Mrs. McCarthy-Beckett is our Casa Directress in our lower level classroom. She obtained her Montessori training in Dublin, Ireland before moving to Canada in 1988. Celine has worked in various Montessori Schools from Toronto to Barrie gaining experience along the way. She continued her training and education in Ontario receiving courses from Fanshaw College and reinforcing her degrees with courses from York University. Mrs. McCarthy-Beckett is a mother of three, all of whom have gone through the Montessori system. She lives with her husband and children in Barrie. Celine brings experience, love of Montessori and most importantly her love of children to our school.
Mrs. Denine Cairns
Mrs. Cairns is our newest member of the Quiet Water Montessori family. She joins Mrs. McCarthy-Beckett’s lower Casa class as a Casa Assistant. Denine is a Registered Early Childhood Educator who graduated with honors from Loyalist College. She also attended the Ontario College of Art. Denine has years of experience working in both public schools and Montessori schools. She brings with her a love of learning and a nurturing manner to guide children in developing a foundation for creative learning. Denine is the mother of 3 wonderful young adults, she lives with her incredibly supportive husband just outside Barrie.
Ms. Battaglia is a Casa Directress at Quiet Waters Montessori. Angela received her Montessori Training at Toronto Montessori Institute in 2007. In addition, Ms. Battaglia holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Nippising in Sociology/History. She has had the opportunity to experience the joy of travel and to teach English as a second language in Japan. Angela has a passion of learning and believes that a teacher is one that never stops the quest of learning. In her spare time she enjoys reading, photography, singing and spending time with her daughter.
Mrs. Conforti has been a part of our school since March 2013. She is an assistant in our toddler classroom, "Little Sprouts". She has worked in the early childhood education field for over 15 years with children ranging in ages from infancy to school age. Mrs. Conforti is a very passionate teacher and enjoys helping children learn at their own pace and to their fullest ability.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her son and husband camping and enjoying the beautiful Canadian outdoors!
